.Net Openings for Johannesburg and Durban Location in South Africa

Hi All, Derivco PRETORIA have opened up three new positions. The Pretoria team is in a new office set up based in Menlyn on Garsfontein Road and we are looking for competent Senior Software Developers. There are three new positions in total. Two Senior Developer roles and Product Owner/ Team Lead role. The Two Senior Developer roles differ in spec only slightly. See below: The first one has the technical requirements set out below: Desired qualifications and experience: • Minimum 5+ years’ development experience. • Solid coding skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript. • Solid coding skills and in-depth knowledge of Rest API development using ASP.NET Web API 2, using C# • Solid experience in application architecture and exposure to patterns and practices • Understanding of at least one of the web application frameworks (Angular, Ember, Durandal, Aurelia or React). • Web application framework - Polymer - will be advantageous. • Solid knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and Web application development. • Hands-on experience with network diagnostics and network analytics tools. • Being able to integrate data from various back-end services and databases. • A solid understanding of how web applications work, including security, session management, and best development practices. • Good problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills. • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques. The second one has the technical requirements set out below and is for their “The iQ” Team. This is a brand new team. This will be a client facing team to some extent specializing in enterprise level back office applications which allows casino operators to run campaigns (“try me” games), communicate with and reward players etc. – in essence without the actual gambling component as the rest of the games that we generally produce. The casino games are essentially only developed in Durban. Technical requirements: 5 years + experience in software development • A Relevant Bachelor's Degree • C#, JavaScript, CSS and SQL • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills • Leadership skills • Understanding of general programming and application usage. • Understanding of the software development lifecycle. • Problem solving skills • Database Design The Third position was initially a Team Lead role but due to some recent restructuring they are now terming it Product Owner. This is a technical leadership role in which you will lead a new software development team, coordinate the entire product development process and ensure the timely delivery of products.
