Job Responsibilities
1. Lead a team of L3 SMEs in their respective technical areas to deliver shared support services to identified customer accounts
2. Define and establish technical & operational support processes required to deliver the defined services
3. Provide / enable technical leadership to SMEs for any escalated events
4. Collaborate with leads in other shared services centers to delivery services to customer seamlessly
5. Define and establish metrics and service levels for the technical tower operations
6. Manage governance processes - internal and account level to monitor and report delivery and team performance
7. Drive service quality improvement initiatives and deliver services at defined service levels
8. Enable initiatives to establish tools and automation needed to provide services
9. Support any hiring and onboarding processes to build and expand the teams to support business growth
10. Understand customer contract requirements and enable all support operations to meet the requirements


Role & Responsibilities

§ Perform advanced trouble shooting of UNIX / Linux / Storage and Backup failures – L3 level support.
§ Handle escalations from L2 incident Management team.
§ Coordination on Problem analysis and providing RCA.
§ Plan, execute and report Availability, Performance & Capacity management of Wintel servers and services.
§ Coordination with vendor / Service provider for problem resolution.
§ Change Impact analysis and Change coordination
§ Resolving Storage and Backup incidents and problems.
§ Storage / Backup Patch management
§ Plan and execute DR requirements for the tower and coordinate the same at project and program level requirements.
§ Troubleshoot hardware and proved hands and feet support.
§ Meet reporting requirements and represent the tower in customer, project, program meeting and audits as required.
§ Lead the tower for technical operations, Operations standardization and documentation review.
§ Manage, maintain & update the Knowledge management database for the tower.
§ Coordinate with customer in creation of SOP’s, Templates, policies, etc. And make sure they implemented and effective.
§ Making sure that all the resource meets the required security standards, policy and operations standards, quality guideline and procedure and process are followed at all times.
§ Conduct audits on incident ticket and service request and recommend of improvements
§ Analysis all the incident, service tickets and initiate for Service improvement and Lean programs.

Profile:–

§ 7 – 10 yrs of experience in handling UNIX / Linux / Storage and Backup administration.
§ Expert Knowledge in Solaris / RedHat Linux Server Administration, VERITAS Cluster and Volume Manager, Sun Volume manager, FTP, and patch management.
§ Operating system and Web-server, Clustersetup knowledge and Performance analysis and tuning.
§ Expert skills in Performance, Availability and Capacity Management of Servers and Storage systems
§ Able to handle and troubleshoot hardware issues on EMC storage Arrays and Backup Environment
§ Expert knowledge is EMC storage management and Backup management.
§ Should have completed some related certification in 2 or more of the above technologies
§ Should have a very good understanding of ITIL process. Preferably ITIL foundation certified.
§ Excellent verbal and written communication, good customer handling skills and working experience in working with Virtual customers & Teams.

 7 -10 yrs in Storage and Server Administration
 VERITAS Volume Manager 5
 Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5.5
 Good understanding on EMC Storage array and solution offerings
• 5 – 7 yrs in EMC storage management and Backup management
• DB Agents i.e. .. Oracle SQL Exchange .
• Tape Cloning / Export /Vaulting concept
• Vmbackups configuration on both VMDK and Standard file .
• Hardware : Tape Library concepts SCIS or Fiber vendor / DELL / IBM / SUN / HP and Netapp VTL Tape Library
• Good Experience knowledge EMC Storage offerings, Data domain, SAN Switches, HBA, Multipathing software.
