Experience Requirements
• 5-14 years of platform functional test experience on a BRAS, routing/switching platform.
• Understanding of network deployment scenarios of BRAS, L2 and L3 products.
• Experience in integration, scaling and performance testing
• Prior experience in interfacing with Product management team to understand the product requirements as well as provide inputs
• Very good understanding of architecture of the L2L3 boxes
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel and work independently
• Extensive experience in the following routing and forwarding areas
o BRAS – DHCP, AAA, RADIUS, TACACS+
o L2 protocols such as STP/RSTP/MSTP, 802.1q, Link aggregation and LACP
o L3 protocols such as BGF, OSPF, ISIS,RIP
o ACL and filtering
o QOS
o Multicast (PIM-SM/BiDir, IGMP)
o MPLS, L2VPN and L3VPN
o Tunneling IP-IP, GRE, IPSec
• Strong scripting skills in PERL/TCL.
• Test tools
o Agilent N2X
o Spirent
o Ixia
